Fitting Guide
To find out which size of ski helmet is best for you, you will need to measure for the correct size. Using a flexible tape measure, hold the tape just above the top of the eyebrows and measure around the back of the head at the widest point. The result will give you your correct head size. All Ski Helmets are measured in centimetres. There are 2.54 centimetres to the inch.
Fortunately most ski helmets are now adjustable between a range of sizes i.e 54-58cm, so there is scope for error, but care should still be taken to find your correct size.
Founded by Philipp M. Winter in Fürth, Bavaria in 1926, by 1936 he was supplying safety eyewear to competitors in the Summer Olympics.
His son - Rainer Winter coined the “uvex” brand name, based on an abbreviation of the quality seal for lenses – Ultra Violet EXluded. From 1956, all sports and leisure products were and still are sold under the uvex brand.
In 1972, uvex launched the uvex downhill: the first ski goggles with a spherical, injection-moulded lens and anti-fog coating and by 1987 the first manufactured helmets were introduced in Germany.
Now - with the third generation of the family in charge, uvex continue to innovate and produce winter sports safety equipment used by the worlds top winter sportsmen and women.
Combined with legendary German quality manufacturing, uvex produce fantastic products built to a very high standard.
